Consumed You & I is part of an ongoing series entitled 'Doubt in the Digital Age,' exploring the notion of doubt and its prevalence within current society. The series draws on contemporary existence regarding social media and living in an internet-driven environment through the visual aesthetics of digital glitch. This work represents a secondary series within the context of doubt, exploring how tufting, typically used for the production of floor rugs and textiles can be displayed in a familiar format, stretched around stretcher bars like a painting. The work features additional elements of knitting, to further explore Kent's use of textiles and expand the mediums in which she works.
